    I've grown this strain both indoors and outdoors. Indoors I was very impressed. Outdoors I was blown away. Both methods produce a very nice product. %100 germination success every time on my 5 seed purchases both times I've grown this. As always I am happy I chose Humboldt Seeds and would strongly recommend this strain. Easy to read. Resilient. High yield. It smells amazing! 5 stars!

    Germinated 2 seeds, both of them grew very very slow and tiny. 5 weeks from seed and height is about 20cm. Other plants i had was about 40cm. Minty smell gives two stars. I hope those was some bad phenos..

    I was diagnosed with lung cancer and need to have chemotherapy treatments,so I start to grow some variety of cannabis plants .For thc I chose Chocolate mint OG.Germinate and grow the plants indoors first 5-6 weeks then outside direct in the soil where i grow my veggies .Even I'm north of 44 parallel plant ,plant harvesting is in the beginning of october without need to inclosed with grow tent.All my family and friends who tried loved and want to grow Chocolate Mint OG,buds was frosted with plenty of resin.This year plants are doing very well 8 ft and 9 ft tall over 7 ft wide with many big collas. In other word I,m very pleased with Chocolate Mint OG.

    Any negative reviews on chocolate mint disregard it super strong super tasty it likes medium strength nutrients it loves good air circulation you will have to do a pack of 5or10 to get the pheno type u want, some finish early some later! the one your looking for Is crown buds super frosty white coating at week 7 and smell of lime and oil, once squeezed u smell the chocolate mint from week 5-6 wk1-4 smells of lime oily ,in flower week7 can be chopped! this is the strongest pheno type so far. I have found 4 diffrent pheno ,one is balanced taste of both, one is more mint and fresh methol, one is like lime chocolate mint taste, one is just chocolate taste that’s the easiest of the 4 to grow, the others will be a little more challenging but will be easier and quicker in the flower faze so u can’t have it all but u can search to get the pheno that will turn heads that pheno beats anystrain out there for medicinal power taste structure bag appeal is insane. 3 pheno so far have crown shape Xmas tree buds! 1 pheno has rounder fatter buds with rocket shaped top heads tastes only of chocolate that pheno type and oil. All of the pheno so far are 9/10 the one pheno is 9,5/10 incredible Humbolt I can’t thank you enough you guys are incredible thank you thank you thanks I am so medicated one of my top 5 chocolate mint out of 270 strains near enough. So as I said any negative reviews on this strain is Bullshit!

    3rd or 4th review now what can I say superb! Look out for the 7week pheno type it will impress you if you have done chocolate before and had the chocolate pheno that takes 8or9 weeks. The pheno you want is the lime mint hint of chocolate pheno that can be harvested at 7weeks for the most outstanding flavour on the planet balanced medicinal high also! If you let her go 8 weeks u lose flavour and gain more pain relief sleep properties out of her super medicinal strain if grown organically and some of the best smoke that remindes oldschool smokes from the 70s 80s brings that unique Afghani chocolate taste from the past. That’s the comments I get from the old timers! Just beware tents will need good carbon extraction buy the best or expensive filtration you will thank me later. She is as stinky and smelly as they come you been warned if you do rooms A/C and good filtration is needed air tight room as possible. Please do not ignore this Advise you thank me later enjoy her she is an unbelievable strain

    I have grown multiple HSO strains, but this by far has been the standout one. A joy to grow and a beautiful plant. The finished product is a flower that is dense and darkly purple. The smell is outrageously pungent and gassy with subtle dark fruit undertones. This smell carries right through on the flavour with a smooth deep smoke that hits right down in the lungs. The exhale is deliciously sweet and coats your tongue leaving a moorish aftertaste. It’s not a flower for beginners as it’s very potent. The affect hits almost instantly relaxing your whole body and mind and after enough it will send you off into a deep narcotic sleep. I honestly would say that for the price of these seeds, this is one of the best strains on the market. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed. An outrageously good strain for an amazingly good price. I will be growing it again.

    This season I started the outdoor cultivation with the black dog and the mint chocolate in a nice Mediterranean environment. I put them in fiber pots of two hundred liters with allmix soil by biobizz. I used disease prevention and organic fertilizers from the company guanokalong. I have already lost one plant and I am struggling to gain something from the other. For fifteen years nothing like this has happened to me. Unfortunately I am very disappointed because I lose the year and I do not have the possibility for indoor cultivation.

    Grew this strain under several 630w cmh lights along with several other strains from other breeder. Chocolate mint OG came out way ahead, both in terms of vigor and yield, but also the incredible bag appeal. While the buds were visually stunning, what caught my attention was the smell. After a few weeks of curing, if I opened one of the jars the buds could be smelled from just about any room in the house and to this day is hands down the most "dank" strain I've ever grown. Will be keeping a mother plant for a long time to come

    Im growing chocolate mint og and right now it is vegging nicely. My question is should I risk the inevitable battle with end-of-season mold snd mildew issues, snd plant out in 65 gallon smart pots. Or grow in a smaller 15 -20 gallon pot on the deck where i can move out of rain. Im in northern semi coastal california. Thanks in advance for suggestions

I obtained this from a generous humbolt gift pack at the product earth cannabis festival in peterborough, i felt it was the right time so will be doing an outdoor grow in the north west of england. I will try my best to keep updated on the grow with pictures and information and hope at some point to visit humbolt and get some food for thought, a group of friends and communities here love your genetics and think you are doing something very special!     This variety has been a blast to grow. I have 3 and all are showing their GDP lineage with purpling during the fade. Looks to be an average harvest. I’m at day 50 and they look like they’re going to go 10 more days or so. I grow under 600w hPS in a 4x4 tent in a medical state. I’ll follow up with a harvest report soon

    I loved this strain, I found 3 phenos on 3 seeds. Two of which are keepers. One very dark green and musty. The other light green with purples and pinks and smelled like a mixture of red and pink starburst candy. Very stinky and very potent. My favorite I've grown to date. Keep up the good work HSO

    Nice looking buds. Good production and very uniform growth. Dense purple and green nuggets with orange hairs on very strong stalks - grew like a natural manifold with huge dark purple leaves and totally looks the part. Not too impressed with the flavour or strength though. Smells good, kind of a moch-choca-biscuit aroma (can't get the mint) but tastes of not much and I'm guessing from the mellow high the THC is actually well below the claimed 25%+ this smooth smoke has no cerebral kick at all and is a mellow creeper so I am disspointed as it looks so good. Absoluetly covered in trichromes but the promised strength and flovour just not there. Not a keeper.

    These ladies sure like a drink, 37 days in under 600w hps and taking 3 litres a day, in cocco 15 litre pots,been feeding canna s&now, bat shit and Mico fungi ,just pkd for 4days and now giving them some Goliath finish to get the sweetness out, there gready for food and was running at 2.2-2.4 most of flowering with know sign off neut burn on leaf tips, already like nuggets so will need to watch for rot in final week, all in all very pleased as all 5 seeds took, I’d say 3 have taken indica trends and 2 sativa looking at buds and leafs so will be interesting to see any difference when cured, I’ve put a photo I’ve just taken and let me know if you want to see the finished crop and I will forward you some more pictures.     This strain is pretty easy to grow, but can get a little stretchy when flipping light schedule to 12/12. Puts out plenty of branches, and responds pretty good to topping and training. If you allow temps to drop a little bit in the lights off hours she will express some pretty fall colors. Fading to a light green and/or yellow, some reds and purples, and sometimes they can go almost all purple. Great bag appeal. Smells like lemon/pine with a hint of fuel, and carries over into the taste! Also clones within about 10-14 days. I will be keeping Chocolate Mint OG around in my garden now, and hopefully forever.     The 'Choccie' so affectionately named in our hood, has become a stable in my collectives op. Amazing flowering time, mine finished bang on 58days post 12/12 flip...buds were green but with much purple and red hues. The flavour and smell of the buds are amazing, overpoweringly kushy, where it's difficult not to fall asleep after having a few bowls. My favourite strain from HSO, and have grown their Chemdawg, Blue Dream, Bubbas Gift, Amherst Sour Diesel.

    I have a mostly Sativa pheno that is completely purple. Grows like a OG and smells like barneys dead body that has been in a hot apartment for a couple weeks.... in a good way. When I say purple I mean purple. There isn’t no green once flowering starts. The leaves, buds and hairs. Crazy. Out of a 100 pack only one was like this so goodnight luck.

    first real grow attempt. 4/5 germinated and all turned out great!.. 2 of them even had terrrrible problems (100% on me)..and they rebounded amazing. smell and taste are some of the best ive ever had. outdoor in 100+ degrees and still great yield.     Incredible colors! Deep purples, mixed in with green streaks. The most photogenic weed I have ever grown. Very happy. Not as big a producer as the Black Dog and Green Crack it shared space with in my experience though.

    So to where to start...I grew out a 3 pack of the CMOG and topped several times to develop over 40 tops per plant. The flowers displayed 3 dominate phenotypes. Pheno #1: was huge nicely colored green flowers completely dusted in trichs leaning towards the OG side, extremely pungent gassy scent with minty undertones. Pheno #2: AMAZING i kept this one (all of them where keepers by most standards) the smell indescribable like extremly pungent kush met a fruit loop cereal extract and had a baby mixed with undertones of gas,pine,chocolate and mint but fused into a perfect blend you want to live in. The appearance is INCREDIBLE purple hues and absolutely dripping in trichomes. The buds look to white from all the trichomes to even see all the purple. This must be over 25% for sure. I need to test this. Pheno 3: Biggest buds of all! Purple hues. Smelt like a mixture of both and was very pungent. This stuff will reek ur whole house up with one open of the jar. Amazing quality. I now have some chemdawg, black D.O.G and more CMOG going. Ps How do i submit a picture for the photo of the month? Thanks HSO

    seeded 2 of 5. pheno1, short, thick, healthy even growth, lots of nodes shorter even spacing. pheno2, very tall stretchy 4 times size of ph1, fewer nodes long spacing. almost two different strains when comparing size. pheno2 ran out of space in 7foot indoor room, tried some bending tech near tops, some stalks bent some popped (not good late flower stage). ph2 took upon herself to finish early with a few branches drying off a few maintained growth ph1 seemed to follow suit as far as finishing early a week after ph1. no dying off on ph1. so flushed them out for 2 weeks and cut. deep water culture 2 plants share 1 tub 2 foot space between, most strains seem to compete, 1 always a little larger then the other, not nearly as much when using clones from 1 pheno tho. this is also why i believe the ph1 followed hormone ballance to finsh early cut at 50 days flower light. that being said i cloned off of ph1 and the 2 in flower now looking amazing. easy fast hearty clones nice 2x2 plant structure maintained thru first and second round of clones, wich i just topped. return off first round low because off issuse with ph2, hung for dry, starting cure, while trimming a few flowers out about 1/2 oz rolled almost 1/8 gr finger hash off the glove fingers! took three small buds cleaned and cut up for 2 small joints to test my fingers were stuck togather so bad i couldnt roll till i cleaned them ive grown lots o sticky flowers but this stuff is like pry your fingers apart carfull not to peel skin with it!! smokes ok flavour is not bad (can taste the gdp for sure) i have to reserve full review until next round is done, ill give a 3.5 of 5 for now. i expect that to go to 4.5 at least after next round finishes properly. pheno very different from each other but i only popped tw0 beans so hopefully it was an out of the ordinary difference in phenotype. i will return with more on this very interesting strain it will be a while before i pop more beans tho as the clones so far doing awesome thru 2 rounds.

    Not the easiest plant to grow. But well worth it to me. Crystals are like glue. Hard buds. Not overly big. But the taste is incredible. Mint for sure. I had a little purple show on mine. And relaxing indica. Feel yourself melting into you chair. Nice plant to watch grow. One of the best looking and smelling for me so far.

    I have two now from seed, about half way through flower and these things are big!!! I think it's uber important to state, that these things will get tall, and Lankey! It's an 80%Indica and looks like it's an 80% Sativa!     Ok so far I've grown 3 different strains from HSO and these were the best so far. 100% germination, great growth, took LST And HST very well. Plant 1 has a very ripe strong aroma that reminds me of grandaddy and plant 2 has more of a sweet fruity aroma but with a hint of the grandaddy. I take my hat off to HSO and Diggs Terra for creating this awesome strain.

    This strain was a pleasure to grow, as with every other humbolt strain it wants to thrive and grow big! The resin production that i achived from this strain was amazing, even after drying and curing the buds still looked wet and sticky and glued up my grinder!     I sprouted some Chocolate Mint OG about a year ago outdoor and loved it so much I ended up taking a clone for a mother and have been running it indoor for about three cycles now with two different brands of nutrients. Been growing in soil and recently made the switch from Fox Farm to Nectar for the Gods in soilless mix, and I can say it really brought out different flavors and terpenes even though the clones were from the same mother, running NFTG the OG lineage of the flavors was more pronounced and a lot smoother burn, OG flavors blending wonderful with the GDP for an intriguing combination! Running Fox Farm the GDP flavors seemed more dominant, almost no OG. Chocolate Mint OG is definitely one to keep around! Grows almost identical to the pictures HSO has, phenomenal flavor and aroma, nice yield, with rock hard golf ball flowers. I defintiely recommend training your plant as it grows, SCROG worked great for me. Definitely a keeper, like an orgasm in your nose!

    Quite simply one of the most amazing strain I ever had the chance to grow! This is truly the archetypal indica in my mind ; from the wide leaves to the extremely dense pinecone shaped buds to the beautiful late purpling to the complex aroma to the earth shattering stone... This strain has it all! I got a 10-pack from Seedsman back in April, of which I grew 8 and they honestly all could have been keepers by anyone's standards. This is a very uniform strain. The smell and flavor is really unique, strong and pleasant. I notice a definite touch of sesame/sesame oil on the exhale. The chocolate notes come out more and more as the curing time increases. I grew many different strains this year and everyone around me agrees this is the best of the lot. The plants were quite stout and short (highest plant was about 1,75m) but very wide and bushy, takes topping very well. The frostyness on this strain is really off the charts. Yield is great for such an indica leaning strain. It's very dark green in vegetative growth and the leaves and some of the calyxes got extremely dark purple in the last couple weeks of flowering, worth letting this one go a week or so longer for the color alone. That strain is going to be a regular in my garden for certain !

    Once again another GREAT strain , easy to grow produced lovely flowers with such a unique taste. I have grown this strain twice now and both times the buds have been similar in structure but i found #2 to have more of a minty taste on the exhale. Will grow the Chocolate Mint OG without doubt very soon as i still have a few beans, Cheers HSO for such great products never a bad word heard/said about you guys.

    HSO's awesome chocolate mint og is my all time favorite. Very easy to grow and also very mouth watering delicious! Truly better than advertised, seriously! I've grown all except for the raspberry diesel yet and even though I'm nobody special or known, I'm just a normal joe, I'd highly recommend any of HSO's strains!
