What is Acclimatization ?
We are proud to offer various strains that have been tested and tried in various climates and regions along the Pacific North West (pnw). A short excert from Wikipedia:Acclimatization, or acclimation in English-speaking countries other than the US, is the process in an individual organism adjusting to a gradual change in its environment (such as a change in temperature, humidity, photo-period or pH), allowing it to maintain performance across a range of environmental conditions. Acclimatization occurs in a short period of time (days to weeks), and within the organism's lifetime (compare to adaptation). This may be a discrete occurrence or may instead represent part of a periodic cycle, such as a mammal shedding heavy winter fur in favor of a lighter summer coat. Organisms can adjust their morphological, behavioral, physical, and/or biochemical traits in response to changes in their environment.[1] While the capacity to acclimate to novel environments has been well documented in thousands of species, researchers still know very little about how and why organisms acclimate the way that they do.Many of our breeders are well experienced at which strains do well in certain climates, so we have shared the information on with you. Check each strain description for a more in depth overview of what genetics do better in certain regions of the world. 41st Parallel Infos 42nd Parallel Infos 43rd Parallel Infos Search Wikipedia for more information on your parallel and or geographic region/country.
