Sativas in the HSO line-up are gearing up and this new release of the Raspberry Diesel strain lives up to its name. The collision of two isolated powerhouse genetics made for the creation of this newfound keeper. We used our "Old World" Cherry Afghan with popping sweet and spicy flavors combined with the vigorous, resistant, highly productive and incredibly pungent Sour Diesel #2. This made for a remarkable achievement presenting a very unique profile.
Rapid and vigorous vegetative growth makes for quick transitions into the flowering periods. Thinner fan leaves and long spacing between node sites allow for deeper light penetration into the canopy stimulating secondary growth. Trellising is recommended to support long spiraling bud sites, which display rock-hard raspberry-shaped nugs in later stages. Flowering sites begin to show signs of crowning in about the 5th week and fully mature in about 63-68 days. Red and purple hues appear more commonly in the 7th week as they start to resemble the raspberry-like structure. A high resin count makes for excellent concentrate and not much substance is lost during the drying stages. Manicuring of the Raspberry Diesel strain can be quite simple but be sure to save all the trim as it maintains a high value for re-use at the end.
Sweet and sour flavor
The Raspberry Diesel strain's flavor profile is a mix of sweet and sour. Sweet berry overtones finish with strong petrol-filled undertones which transfer directly back to the pallet. Exquisitely smooth, the flavor is allowed to express itself quite easily. Effects are very functional for daytime use and have been found to be energizing. Great for creative activity and finishes with a relaxing body high, Raspberry Diesel is a fantastic alternative to our very Indica heavy line-up.
With a high resistance to pests and disease as well as a unique physical character and flavor profile, the Raspberry Diesel is one to be explored and experienced from beginners to expert growers alike.
I'm harvesting two mainlined Raspberry Diesel tomorrow and I have to say this is the most excited I've been; the temptation to rub a resin caked sugar leaf between my fingers has been almost irristable. Seriously folks, her scent is addicting, simply one of the best things I've smelled in life. As stated, great yields, rock hard buds, easy grow, and the scent OMG. If taste and effect are equally pleasing, I'll be doing this girl again.
It went (the 9 month old motherplant mentioned in my previous comment) totally off the hooks! The one plant filled the 4*4 tent completely and more than that... One Raspberry Diesel plant 723 grams. That must be quite decent:) Grows like a Sour D and likes feeding like a sour D. Give N until week 3 in flower
Im growing Raspberry D for the first time. Do u have any tips regarding feeding? Really looking fwd to this finishing:)
This is just the perceft answer for all forum members
Btw: The pheno I growing can handler high amounts of nutes. Gave it 1400 ppm at the highest last time and it did not show any signs of trouble (Im not using extra CO2). Great strain!
Currently growing this. Actually I just set a 9 month old previous motherplant in flower in a 4*4 tent with 2*350W Cree COB LEDs. This will be my third harvest of Raspberry Diesel. My hope is to break my single plant record of 623 grams (SourD). Its is absolutely correct that it dont need a long time in veg. and its a high yielder. In previous growths (both autopots and aeroflo system) I have topped it twice during veg. and defoliated heavily after 3,5 and 5,5 weeks. I have obtained yields of about 700g/m2, but those yields demands a SERIOUS amount of lights! 600+ watts of high end LEDS... Usually harvest arbound 66 days. Its quite easy to grow by all means and the high is like Sour D which leans a bit more (not much) towards indica... I use cages to support the plants (If grown properly the plants are in need of support after week 6), but is considering to try a SCROG set-up next time. Anyone who have tried SCROG set up on this strain and will share their experience? I bet this plant would provide monster yields outdoors, but in my native home country in Scandinavia outdoor is not even close to beeing an option:( Kind regards Mr. J
what are average yields in/out on Raspberry D?
Hi Neo, Cheers for your query. This is a little guide of estimates that i would use that could apply to your question. In - 550 - 650 gr per sq meter Out - 150 - 650 gr per plant (short season) Out - 550 - 6500 gr per plant (full season) Obviously these are in PERFECT conditions, with no pests or disease. Hope this helps Ras
