California breeder's have invested a lot of time progressing many Indica varieties over the years. Most of the state experiences dry and arid weather conditions ideal for Indica leaning hybrids. The Master Kush with it's dominant afghan lineage is nothing short of perfection. This elite clone comprised of Hindu Kush X Skunk has been among the most valued and high producing boutique genetics in California. Remaining elusive for many years due to the combination of potency, flavor and production left this variety extremely demanded. Our unique phenotype has all the grand qualities of its pure Indica lineage.
Large broad fan leaves take on deep forest green hues with thick foliage. The density of the canopy leaves very little room for light penetration as we advise to occasional thin out areas blocking secondary growth. It is best to grow the Master Kush to its desired size before flowering as there is not much stretching involved in the later development. Strong root systems are reflected in the hardy infrastructure requiring little attention. Taking into account the thick canopy, topping is recommended to create a terminal site separation early on, maximizing bud development in secondary sites. Pruning is minimal for flowering sites as substance is valuable all the way to the bottom of the stem. Indoors, Master Kush can be expected to be ready in 63 days. MK is well known for the large crowning bud sites which start developing in the 5th week of flowering. Contingent upon your indica curing preference we do know many growers who extend a few extra days to increase the trichromes to more of an amber finish. Outdoors Master Kush finishes the first week of October. Due to heavy foliage, preventative treatment is highly recommended to combat powder mildew which can result from the lack of airflow underneath the canopy or inside of large plants reaching heights of 8 feet. Purple, red and orange hues compliment heavy resin content with unmistakable sharp gassy overtones followed by woody floral accents. Effects of the Master Kush very cerebral and long lasting as it has been well known for providing pain relief, appetite stimulation and acts as a great sleeping aid. https://youtu.be/nMiTdhNheg8 Through elite clone selections we have continued to strengthen the phenotype over many years. Our present mother selection is one of superior quality. 15 years of evolution has led to the release of one of the most anticipated Indica arrivals yet.
PRESERVATION X SELECTION X QUALITY = HSO
I grew these last year, a chaotic grow amongst 3-4 other vars, all started indoors and went into flower but I underestimated how much they stretch and expand, desperately i grabbed the 4 nearest plants out of the room and threw them up on the roof, the indoor grow flourished and was harvested, meanwhile one of the four outcasts to the roof was a Master Kush and it endured some harsh conditions up there, was in a small pot for a while, got baked and dried out a few times due to being inconveniently located and surplus to requirement for a while but it did'nt give up and then i got it well repotted and started paying attention to looking after it. The plant became healthy and strong, revegging through the summer, then went back into flower early enough and I harvested it by the 10th of september, very heavy budding branches, a fantastic Harvest but also to mention that it was the best plant out of all grown last year, what a surprise!! The buds retained their firmness in drying and it cured so well, the flavour was so very strong as was the effect. That plant was high above all the others, my hands were sticky with loads of resin when packaging after cure. I have only done 6-7 other various small grows but that plant changed everything for me. I like Amsterdam, I like Barcelona but i did'nt consider any other weed when i had the Master Kush and I felt sorry when the jars were getting low. I'd love to have that plant again.
Alhigrt alright alright that's exactly what I needed!
