Extracting new varieties out of the flavor wheel can be challenging but every so often we stumble into something completely different. The Chocolate Mint OG hits this one right on the head (literally). This elite and powerfully cerebral hybrid selection came from the fusion of two iconic California strains. The original "crippy" OG Kush from the late 90's cut, brought together with the timeless classic of Northern California, Granddaddy Purple. Through vigorous and meticulous selection we discovered a flavor profile like never before.
Vigorous and aggressive in nature, the Chocolate Mint OG maintains balance and health quite efficiently. The spacing between fan leaves is ample, making room for plenty of secondary light penetration. Trellising is recommended to increase terminal sites for later flowering development. Be sure to treat for powdery mildew as slight susceptibilities are best dealt with preventatively. Flowering periods kick off rather fast and stretching can be anticipated to about double. Terminal sites form large "golf ball"-shaped buds spaced out all the way to the bottom of the stem. Crowning bud sites begin appearing in the 5th week and Chocolate Mint OG can be expected to harvest indoors in about 8 weeks. Flowering outdoors can be expected to be harvested in the first week of October if not the last week of September contingent upon pot size, diet, climate and lines of latitude and longitude. Reaching heights over 10 feet, hard steel cages are recommended supported by secondary trellis netting for large developing terminal sites.
Chocolate Mint OG, perfect for the day smoke
Chocolate Mint OG's flavor profile expresses a complex blend of Chocolate, mint, pine and gassy overtones followed by sharp and spicy notes. This activates your salivary glands almost immediately. Effects are extremely cerebral, as this is best for an end of the day smoke. It's not necessarily for sleeping but great for pain relief and unwinding after all things in your day have been completed. Finishing with a heavy body high, this effect isn't for everyone and we advise those with lower tolerance levels to exercise with caution. This new release from HSO continues our commitment to providing the best and highest quality genetics from the heartbeat of California's cannabis industry.
Dudes, Chocolate Mint, is the like most awesomeness flavored flavor of weed I’ve ever had,, and I’m nearly 55, so, that’s saying a lot! KUDOS!
Impressed with 707 Truthband and your version of headband. Really good humidity resistance, gets big outdoors. Got some choc mint to run a little later in the year, thinking greenhouse. Really looking forward to it. I've been very impressed with all the work I've grown. Your genetics are that solid I used Truthband in a personal breeding project to reinvigorate a local land race sativa. Very happy with results after back crossing the land race onto the F1-hybrid. Now F4 with 2 lines. Will have to report back on the choc mint. :-)
I grew this outdoors in MA with exceptional results. Slow out of the blocks, the plant initially lagged all the others: Holland's Hope, Blue Dream, Mazar, and Muay Thai. Then it blew past all but HH, growing to seven feet ( this was an autoflower so I wasn't expecting size.) I had no problems with mold despite a cool and damp summer that spelled disaster for Blue Dream and Mazar, and trouble for Muay Thai. Trimming was a breeze compared with the others, given how well organized the plant was toward bud production. The buds are dense enough that I have to use pruning shears to cut them up to smoke. Scissors won't do. This is a brilliant, connoisseur's weed. Of all that I planted last year this was the best grow. The plant looked as though it had been rolled in diamond dust, was ready to harvest October 7. I will definitely grow this again.
Doing my 3rd run of them at the moment, amazing plant, done in under 8 weeks, she will be one of my go to strains for a long time to come, I got some lovely photos of them, is there any way to put them up on here? Flavour and aroma is beautiful... a must have!
Amazing easily strain to grow! would recommend to anyone looking for solid genetics, and some AAA bud.

I purchased 3 seeds, germinated 1 and grew indoor with ff soil, strong beautiful grower with no problems, nice dark purple finish with dense frosty buds, absolutely top shelf quality. I have the other 2 plants outdoors and are looking beautiful, nice bud formation, I am very pleased with this plant, taste smell and potency of finished flowers are as described by hso, delicious!
This strain is just awesome, beautiful plant, I loved it! The flavour is veeery good and the high also. Enjoy
Beautiful plant but the constant upkeep to avoid mold is tiresome. Not for everyone to grow. Although it is easy. I topped and lst to 4 main cola. And everything in the middle grows. I will pick something a little hardier.
Doing a journal with pics and mine at 5 weeks of flower today are gnarly as hell and the pics will prove it.The yield is looking pretty good for a 4x4 with 600 halide.Where to send pics?
Hi Mike! Thanks for the comment!! Please send the pics to ras@humboldtseeds.net! Many thanks in advance!!!!
Having some issues with my chocolate mint og. The leaves are all spotted yellow or light green. Very slow growing in veg. All the other plants around it are doing great. Its just this Chocolate mint og that seems to have issues. Any advice would be great. I have flowered one and the smell and taste is out of this world. It taste just like it says chocolate and mint.
I have never grown a ten foot tall "tree." Is this for real and how much yield is expected? I am so excited!
running 2 CMOG's at the moment day 29 from flip ,has good sized golf-bally frosty and smelly nugs already , expecting some serious dankness in about 3-4 weeks ..looking like a definate keeper.. I'll send Ras some pics when done. :)

I got a five pack a month ago. Popped the chocolate mint and I'm totally happy there begging to grow in to a fine lookin lady's. And first week they came out the seed they showed purple hues not joking folks. I grow a lot of rare dankness. Strains to but I gotta hand to h.s.o it's all about that California grown
I've just recently finished a Chocolate Mint OG run and am extremely pleased with the results, especially since I was not able to find any reviews for this strain. This is some really nice medicine folks. The flavor and effect are exactly as described in the breeders description. Very minty with chocolate/pine undertones with a light chem/diesel background. The flavor is superb but the effect are also every bit as good as the flavor. A+ all the way, a solid 8 out of 10 in my book (coming from a 30+ year smoker so take that for what it's worth). She's a very vigorous grower and clones VERY easily. I grew this one indoors under LED's and she finished up at exactly 8 weeks from flip.
thank you for the great review @unclecannabis!!! Please send any pics you have of the grow or a grow journal to us and ill make sure you get a few free packs of seeds!! ras @ humboldtseeds (dot) net
I dont know... I buy this chocolade og and bubba kush 2 seeds. 3 og and 3 bubba seeds. after 10 days not even 1 germinated. with other seeds(no matter it was auto, regs, fems, bag) I have 95% germination rate. so I dont know, I guess its time to be unlucky.
Cherry.... No Doubt! Just got me some via London (where most of the seedbanks are) so there should be NO PROBLEM keeping them there!!! Check out attitude!
Wow the Chocolate Mint sounds amazing!!
How can I get some ?? Up in London
How close to Chocolate Thai are the aromas? Haven't been disappointed by any of your strains, so will probably give this one a go.
You guys do amazing work, love reading about all your strains. Cant grow at the moment, but i can't wait to put all the research to use when i am able to!
